Collective accommodation establishments of the Czech Republic 2016 – 2024 Q

In 2024, a total of 22.8 million arrivals and more than 57.2 million overnight stays were recorded in collective accommodation establishments in Czechia. The average length of stay reached 3.51 days. The highest number of visitors and overnight stays was registered in the capital city of Prague, followed by the South Moravian Region and the South Bohemian Region. In terms of overnight stays, Karlovy Vary Region ranked second, followed by the Hradec Králové Region.
From the perspective of international guests, Germany, Slovakia, and Poland were the most prominent source markets, with significant numbers also arriving from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Italy. The data confirm that the share of foreign tourists continued to increase in 2024. Regional differences in the average length of stay reflect a diverse structure of tourism offerings – while visitors in Karlovy Vary Region stayed on average 4.74 days, in the South Moravian Region the average was only 2.94 days.
